Abstract

Many countries have initiated policies and strategies for Armies to undertake missions in tune with the scale of climate threats, and militaries around the world are beginning to engage in actions related to environmental protection and energy transition. As the Arab region is among the regions most affected by the severity of climate change, this requires public policy makers in the Arab region to adopt future legislation and strategies, among which we focus on the level of armies. Hence, this comparative approach is adopted to analyze future military strategies related to climate change adopted in many countries, with the aim of benefiting from leading international experiences and strategies in this field, and anticipating the features of strategies for the new roles of armies in the context of climate change and its security repercussions in the Arab region.
