الملخص

تتناول هذه الورقة صعود النقد الأكاديمي والفكري للصهيونية وهبوطه ضمن المجتمع اليهودي في إسرائيل. ظهر هذا النقد في أواخر ثمانينيات القرن الماضي نتيجة التطورات الاجتماعية والسياسية والاقتصادية التي بدأت مع حرب تشرين الأول/ أكتوبر 1973، وبلغت ذروتها مع الانتفاضة الأولى سنة 1987، فحثت الشكوك في شأن السياسات الداخلية والخارجية والأمنية للدولة على إجراء بحوث أكثر نقدًا في شأن واقع إسرائيل حاضرًا وماضيًا. وأنتج الكشف عن وثائق سرية جديدة تتعلق بحرب 1948 "تاريخًا جديدًا" بالنسبة إلى مجموعة من المؤرخين المحترفين الذين اعترفوا بالفصول الرئيسة للسردية الفلسطينية عن الحرب، وتبعها تشكيك علماء الاجتماع بالصلاحية الأخلاقية للصهيونية ولسياسات الدولة في خمسينيات القرن الماضي. وعُرفت هذه النزعة بـ "ما بعد الصهيونية"، وأثّرت في المنتجين الثقافيين في جميع مناحي الحياة في تسعينيات القرن الماضي. إلّا أن مثقفي ما بعد الصهيونية تراجعوا في أغلبيتهم عن نقدهم لدى اندلاع الانتفاضة الثانية وموت عملية أوسلو، أو غادروا البلاد. لقد استعاد المثقفون والأكاديميون الصهيونيون الحيزَ العام، وفي الواقع، تبنى هؤلاء نسخة من الصهيونية أكثر تشددًا.
