About the Journal

Omran is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal dedicated to producing, disseminating, and advancing specialized knowledge in sociology and anthropology. It has been published since Summer 2012 by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (ISSN 2305-2473 / E-ISSN 2789-3286).

Omran publishes original studies in sociology, anthropology, and development in the Arab region, alongside book reviews and translated scholarship.
