The concept of space has numerous sociological interpretations, but it is poorly employed in Arab sociology, despite its limited usage. This study represents an in–depth examination of this concept according to Georg Simmel, in an effort to include it in Arab sociological research. This paper identifies the most important aspects and topics associated with the concept, which still attract sociological study, and proposes new points of discussion that fit with the transformations in research in the social sciences.
