الملخص

تفحص هذه الدراسة تمثيلات المؤسسة العسكرية الإسرائيلية في صحافة النخبة الأميركية، مع التركيز على جوانب القوة والأخلاق. وتطرح سؤالًا رئيسًا مفاده: كيف جرى تمثيل المؤسسة العسكرية الإسرائيلية في صحافة النخبة الأميركية في تغطية الحرب الإسرائيلية على غزة ولبنان خلال الفترة 2023 - 2025؟ وتعتمد على تقنيات تحليل الخطاب النقدي إلى جانب مراجعة الأدبيات والمصادر الثانوية للكشف عن التمثيلات التي شكّلتها الخطابات الصحافية المبحوثة، وذلك من خلال التحليل الموضوعي لمحتوى التقارير المعمقة لعيّنات من صحافة النخبة الأميركية ممثلة بثلاث مجلات، هي: ذا نيويوركر، وذي أتلانتك، وفورين بوليسي. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن جل الخطاب الصحافي ركز على المعضلة الأخلاقية، وأن سمعة المؤسسة العسكرية الإسرائيلية التي طالما شُِّيِدت على البعد الأخلاقي قد فقدت الكثير من رصيدها، إلى جانب تحولات واضحة في نظرة هذا النوع من الصحافة إلى تمثيلات القوة والدفاع عن النفس والتفوّق النوعي والتكنولوجي.
