The Problem of Values in the Philosophy of Augustine

Abstract

Maireche addresses the question of values in Augustinian philosophy which, despite its centrality to the Philosophy of Man, has remained neglected by scholars. Perhaps the most important aspect of these questions are related to matters of good and evil, and also with happiness. This paper shall focus on these themes, attempting to illuminate the distinction between the theological and the philosophical.
