This research is an attempt to analyze and examine Martha Nussbaum's feminist approach to the notion of Identity through instrumentalizing both the analytical and the critical method. First, we began with identifying the terminology used in her writings, and then we explored the relationship between the notion of identity and Nussbaum's Capabilities approach. in the third section, we followed that with a descriptive scheme of the traits of her Capabilities approach. In the fourth section, we moved to explaining the consequences of her approach as evident in the case of "social stigma and the feeling of shame." and finally, we concluded with a critical assessment of Nussbaum's version of feminism and the capabilities approach.
