In late January 2021, Transparency International released its report on the results of the 2020 Corruption Perceptions Index. Unsurprisingly, this year carried particular significance, as it represented an exceptional moment for integrity and transparency worldwide. With the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the globe and movement restrictions imposed in every corner of the world, the crisis profoundly shaped the context in which corruption and governance were assessed.
