Inequality Kills

Abstract

Coinciding with the World Economic Forum (WEF), and in an effort to attract economic, business, and political elites, the Oxford Committee for Famine Relief (OXFAM) traditionally issues its annual report. The last two reports for 2022 and 2023 convey a consistent message: the world is moving further away from equality, and increasing inequality must be addressed. OXFAM emphasizes the urgency of halting this negative trajectory through tools for economic equality, with the most crucial being the imposition of more taxes on wealth.
