Abstract

This paper aims to achieve three basic objectives related to the long–term employment. Firstly, to diagnose characteristics of normative construction of long–term unemployment. Secondly, to reveal forms of resisting this unemployment. Thirdly, to analyze how the actors and social ties may build mechanisms for such resistance. This research drew upon results of field research conducted in 2019 among long–term unemployed graduates in Meknes. Its importance is for understanding how juridical and social norms produce long–term unemployment; how social actors represent and live this situation.
