الملخص

في نهاية العقد الثاني من القرن الحادي والعشرين، سعت إسرائيل إلى أن تضع نفسها في صف عدد من النضالات الأصلانية، من أجل التحايل على طبيعتها الاستعمارية - الاستيطانية، ثم من أجل محاولة موضعة مشروع الدولة الصهيونية بوصفه مشروعًا أصلانيًا. تفحص هذه الدراسة أحد الأمثلة على هذه النزعة، تحديدًا في المناسبات التذكارية التي تتعلق بمئوية "حملة فلسطين"، وهي حملة عسكرية خاضها جنود أستراليون في الحرب العالمية الأولى ضد الدولة العثمانية. تجادل هذه الدراسة بأن السياسات الإسرائيلية الرسمية لإحياء هذه الحملة، والدور الحديث والمركزي للجنود الأصلانيين فيها، كانت استراتيجية خبيثة للدولة الإسرائيلية، وُضعت لإلغاء سردية الفلسطينيين وأصلانيتهم في أرضهم.
