Abstract

Art criticism constitutes an important aspect of cultural criticism discourse in Edward Said’s work. His “On Late style” reveals his deepest view of art as a cultural and humanistic accomplishment. This work should be approached within the framework of Said’s endeavor to uncover the nature of different modes of artistic expressions. The present study aims at discovering the principles underlying aesthetic and cultural modern criticism.
