The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies have published the 55th issue of the bimonthly peer-reviewed political science and international relations journal, Siyasat Arabiya. This special issue on "the 2019 Hirak movement in Algeria: Multiple Aspects," includes the following articles: "The Hirak Protest Movement in Algeria: Narratives and Counter Narratives" by Abdennour Benantar; "Algeria's Security Policy: Transformations and Dilemmas in the Context of Regional Unrest and Internal Protest" by Abdennour Benantar; "The Revival of National and Civil Reconstruction in Algeria from the Perspective of the Use of History and Identity in the Time of the Hirak" by Salim Chena; "The Political Economy and Democratic Transition in Algeria: Calculations of the Site and the Results of the Harvest," by Khaled Menna & Reda Hamza Boudjana; and "The External Factor and the Hirak Protest Movement in Algeria" by Arbi Boumediene. The issue includes a paper on the Arab Opinion Index by Abdallah Houadef, "Algerian Public Opinion Trends Towards the Popular Hirak". Also included in this issue is a translation of Didier Le Saout's "The Hirak in Paris: The Staging 97 of a Revolution against the 'Algerian System'" by Lahcène Zeghdar. The issue includes the documentation of Milestones in Democratic Transition in the Arab World and Palestine over two months, 1/1-28/2/2022, along with select Documents of Democratic Transition in the Arab World. The issue ends with Ibrahim Rabaia's & Ammar Jamhour's review of Knowledge, Ideology, and Civilization: Understanding History by Ali Jarbawi.
